Christmas Art with Senior Infants

We visited Senior Infants and helped them create some beautiful Christmas Art. We loved meeting our friends in Senior Infants. Thanks for having us 😊

4th Class Choir

 4th Class have been busy over the last number of weeks learning and practicing singing. They have been learning lots of scales and warm ups, as well as songs for the up and coming Christmas period.

Ms Moran's and Ms Kilmartin's classes have joined together to create the 4th Class Choir. Practice makes perfect and we can't wait to begin our Christmas rehearsals!

Garda Visit and Science Week

Garda Visit

In November, 4th class were visited by a member of An Garda Siochána. Garda Ciaran explained about the different roles Guards have in our community, different units, the Garda uniform and safety equipment. The boys and girls enjoyed asking Ciaran lots of questions about being in Guard in the locality, as well as getting to try on his uniform. Thank you Ciaran for the visit!

Science Week 

During Science Week, 4th class learned all about inference and observation skills. The children were looking at Inquiry Based Science and developing their scientific skills based on observations and inferences.

Each group was given ice balls to examine, discuss and record their observations about the differences and similarities between each. Each group shared their ideas and hypothesized with the class. Well done everyone!

RTE film 4th Class in Ballyfermot Library!

 4th class were so lucky to get to visit the 'Ballyfermot Lighthouse' exhibition in Ballyfermot Library last week. The children were given the case study about the mysterious lighthouse that was recently gifted to the library. The children had to study the lighthouse using flashlights and magnifying glasses. There was lots of evidence the children had to study and examine, before coming up with their own theories about the mystery of the lighthouse. RTE filmed our class and asked them question about their theories. The boys and girls had a great day and were a credit to our school. Well done everyone!
